Kicking Horse COVID-19 Update
Even though Alberta’s Vaccination Check Program (REP) has ended, BC’s Vaccination Program is still active. Everyone on this trip must still show proof of vaccinations in order to travel on this trip. Patrons 13 years and older will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations (2 doses, administered at least 2 weeks prior to the trip) along with a valid form if Government issued identification (those 13 – 17 years old do not need to show ID). Patrons 12 years old need only show proof of at least 1 dose of vaccination and no ID required. Please have these ready to display quickly when asked at check in with our Tour Directors on the day of departure and at all other BC venues on this trip. Only your provincial record containing the QR code will be recognized, printed or digital. Medical exemptions and negative COVID-19 tests will NOT be recognized. No personal information related to COVID-19 procedures will be collected by MagicBus Tours Ltd or their partners, it will simply be verified.

The Champagne Powder Capital of Canada
The “Horse” as it’s known to most is every skiers dream. There is lot’s of BIG terrain for those on the hunt, long cruisers for those looking for the relaxing experience and everything in between. If you’ve never been to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, it’s very unique with lots of open bowls, more chutes than you could ski in a week and a crazy cool restaurant at the top of the mountain!

There’s five lifts servicing 1,375 hectares (3,400 acres) of terrain. The big lift is the Gondy out of the base area – the Golden Eagle express. This bad boy allows top to bottom runs ALL day! If you feel like staying up top, there’s the Stairway to heaven Quad that services Redemption Ridge. This is great for making many laps in Crystal Bowl and all the runs on that side of the ridge. Plus, it opens up the access to Feuz bowl, featuring spectacular DB terrain. If you found the cruisers at the bottom more to your liking you can lap those on the Catamount Quad, great for those loving up the Green and Blue runs near the base. Finally, the Pioneer double chair will feed you into some pretty quiet terrain on climbers left out of the base. Some good stashes to be found in here.
Is the “Horse” for everyone? Sure! There’s a way down from every chair that speaks to the heart of every type of rider. There’s a story for every person waiting at the top of every Lift. If you get the chance to ride the Horse, take it! You’ll be counting the days until you get to go back!
